Teacher Training

Humanities quest for the true self is the foundation of all wisdom teachings. Yet often, the path towards self-realization is a steady uncovering and study of who we are not. Only then, when we illuminate all the personal content of our consciousness and shift our awareness to the impersonal stream of consciousness itself, will we be liberated into our own freedom.

In this advanced workshop series, we will explore the ancient practice of yoga nidra, and meditation techniques for connection to soul, and study energetic imprints that create perception and perspective.

Yoga Nidra is a systematic relaxation practice that guides practitioners to an expanded state of the field of consciousness beyond the 5 senses. This wisdom teaching is a portal into one's authentic nature, where the timeless self resides. We will study and explore different states of consciousness and corresponding brain states in order to access the information available at that frequency. This understanding reveals the sacredness of present moment time, how to use visualization effectively, and uncovers a deeper understanding of who we are. Tracking time in quiet brain states will be encouraged, as this is where the mind is most receptive to accept new information, instruction and up to date programming that has the potential to shift and alter core internal patterns (samskaras) that then transform external reality and perceptions. Perceptions and beliefs are how we make sense of our world. We are all conditioned in the way we experience our reality by memory of the past.

This course will also study humanities 4 core limiting beliefs. Each practitioner will receive their personal priority belief to work with via subconscious energetic measuring. Beliefs act as data filters on how we take in information to understand our world, how we perceive our options, and how we feel about ourselves and others. By specifically identifying and re-programming our core limiting beliefs, we look to remove self-imposed limitations to our current reality and re-align with self-affirming beliefs that allow for a more fulfilling experience of life. A change in belief causes a paradigm shift in perception of reality.

An in depth study of yoga nidra and meditation will naturally create more awareness and how to consciously create a more meaningful life experience.

The well established and recognized Yoga Passage teacher training course provides the fundamentals of teaching Yoga in a safe and intelligent way. Over the years,the course has offered hundreds of participants the space to expand their knowledge of the practice and gain the tools to share the teachings. Graduates of the course have gone on to teach at local studios, carry their knowledge abroad as far as Nicaragua, Australia, and India. Others have opened their own yoga facilities and even lead their own teacher training courses. 

The Yoga Passage teacher training course is a profound and personal experience, encouraging growth, introspection, and creativity. It is based on the ancient teaching system of Yoga, integrating the student's daily life into the yoga training. By the end of the course, the student will possess a firm foundation for teaching others, in addition to strengthening his or her own yoga practice with self-discipline, and awareness of the nature of body, mind and spirit. Upon graduation from the course, students will receive a Yoga Teacher Certificate with 200 Hours of qualification and will be confident to lead a safe and effective practice, and further, graduates will emerge transformed. 

The training course is divided into four modules, within these divisions, we will cover and expand into:

  • Various lineages of the practice [hatha, vinyasa, ashtanga, yin, restorative, etc.]
  • Eastern Anatomy [Pranayama, Chakra system, Nadis]
  • Western Anatomy + Physiology

  • Paths of the Practice [Bhakti, Jnana, Raja, Karma, Kundalini]
  • Mindfulness Meditation
  • Sanskrit for Asanas & Mantras

Diploma:

Each graduate will receive a Yoga Teacher Certificate upon completion of the course. Please Note that complete attendance of all sessions is mandatory to attain certification. If for some reason complete attendance is not possible please contact us in advance so that we may discuss options.

Course Prerequisites:

The Teacher Training course demands discipline, perseverance and commitment. A basic knowledge of yoga poses and a minimum one year of dedicated regular practice are required. A willingness to learn is essential.
